In a recent podcast, Paul Caines joined in to discussion in-depth "Why We Must Call Out Names!"; Why it is important fo false prophets, false teachers, and men doing great harm to other christians.
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."
Matthew 7:15
There is a large number of false prophets and teachers out in the world preaching and teaching the Word of God to His children, attaching money to their gifting. Using creative ways to draw money out of the people who they preach to. We need to be vigilant and not allow these agents to profi-lie to us, especially not if there is a $$$ amount attached to their gifting. When Jesus sent out his disciples to preach the Kingdom, he told them “Freely you have received, now freely give”. Therefore, any man or woman of God who ties the flowing of their gift to money is a fraud.
There are people whose faith has been shipwrecked due to these false prophets telling them profit-lies for the sale of money. Be careful to not abandon your faith because of these false prophets and teachers. Remember that Jesus and Christianity is not a product, preachers and teachers of the Faith are not sales reps and the name of Jesus it is not something we are to use to gain riches. The 21st century church needs to stop defending and protecting these false teachers, but should expose them and report them according to Scripture.
