The Alien Phenomenon

Updated: Mar 18, 2021

There is a great and terrible phenomenon that plagues many and confuses others. It is a very scary phenomenon for many who are involved in it or victims of it, and for others the phenomenon is all too much to even consider. The purpose of this article is to give not only a Christian and historic response to the alien phenomenon, but also to shed light on the origin of these entities and the underlying purpose and deception behind the phenomenon and these beings which we call “aliens.”

Know ye not, that to whom ye present yourselves as servants unto obedience, his servants ye are whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness. Romans 6:16

Let us consider the evidences before us and see this phenomenon for what it truly is. The alien/ufo phenomenon is nothing less than the work of evil spirits!

Before getting into the scriptural evidence regarding the origin and intent of these beings, I would first like to call to witness of a few the leading UFO researchers and what they have stated regarding the alien/ufo phenomenon.

"We are dealing with a yet unrecognized level of consciousness, independent of man but closely linked to the earth.... I do not believe anymore that UFOs are simply the spacecraft of some race of extraterrestrial visitors. This notion is too simplistic to explain their appearance, the frequency of their manifestations through recorded history, and the structure of the information exchanged with them during contact." "[An] impressive parallel [can] be made between UFO occupants and the popular conceptions of demons." "[UFOs can] project images or fabricated scenes designed to change our belief systems." "...human belief... is being controlled and conditioned," "man's concepts are being rearranged," and we may be headed toward "a massive change of human attitudes toward paranormal abilities and extraterrestrial life." "The 'medical examination' to which abductees are said to be subjected, often accompanied by sadistic sexual manipulation, is reminiscent of the medieval tales of encounters with demons. It makes no sense in a sophisticated or technical or biological framework: any intelligent being equipped with the scientific marvels that UFOs possess would be in a position to achieve any of these alleged scientific objectives in a shorter time and with fewer risks." "...the symbolic display seen by the abductees is identical to the type of initiations ritual or astral voyage that is imbedded in the [occult] traditions of every culture." Thus, "the structure of abduction stories is identical to that of occult initiation rituals."

-Dr. Jacques Vallee

"A large part of the available UFO literature is closely linked with mysticism and the metaphysical. It deals with subjects like mental telepathy, automatic writing and invisible entities as well as phenomena like poltergeist [ghost] manifestations and 'possession.' Many of the UFO reports now being published in the popular press recount alleged incidents that are strikingly similar to demonic possession and psychic phenomena...."

-Lynn E. Catoe

Senior bibliographer for a government publication researched by the Library of Congress for the U.S. Air Force Office of Scientific Research

"UFO behavior is more akin to magic than to physics as we know it...the modern UFOnauts and the demons of past days are probably identical…What is quite certain is that the phenomenon is active here on our planet, and active here as master."

Dr. Pierre Guerin [an eminent scientist associated with the French National Council for Scientific Research]

"The manifestations and occurrences described in this imposing literature [on demonology] are similar if not entirely identical to the UFO phenomenon itself…” “…The UFO manifestations seem to be, by and large, merely minor variations of the age-old demonological phenomenon."

-John A. Keel

[one of the most informed persons in the world on UFOs, author of the now-classic[one of the most informed persons in the world on UFOs, author of the now-classic UFOs: Operation Trojan Horse

"...if one sets the three occult groups against the three classifications of UFO entities and their characteristics, it is rather surprising how complementary to each other they appear to be, not only through their appearance, activities, and level of behavior, but also in the quality of mental and, especially, emotional reaction and response that has been noted to have occurred on contact."

-Ivar Macka

[former chairman of the respected British UFO Research Association]

"A working knowledge of occult science... is indispensable to UFO investigation."

-Trevor James

Veteran UFO Researcher

"...studies of flying saucer cults repeatedly show that they are part of a larger occult social world."

-Sociologists Stupple and McNeece

So it would appear that the consensus of those who diligently study the phenomenon that this “alien phenomenon” is akin, if not inseparable from the ancient accounts of demonic activity. I believe this helps us in understanding where this phenomenon originates. It is the lack of a thorough response among Christians that has caused the writing of this article. I believe that the lack of understanding comes from the lack of knowledge concerning the scriptures, as well as the indoctrination and doctrinal lens through which men view the scriptures. Consider this, if there is no Christian answer to this phenomenon, then where will the people turn to when they have questions concerning this matter and/or are plagued by the matter? The answer is far away from Christ, which, as we will see, is their only hope.

We can look through the many early cultures and see that there is a common belief that angelic beings came from either the heavens or the underworld, and were to be worshipped as gods. We also have the titans, and other “gods” that are found in history that further details that either men are so desperate to believe in and worship something that they made up deities to worship, or there were actual events that happened that caused these men to not only believe in these entities, but also teach the worship of these entities to their children, even going as far as to kill their own children as sacrifices to these deities. Even though there are many cultures and religions that reference these entities, there is only one group of scriptures which give a detailed and complete account of these “gods” and where the come from. If you have taken note, I stated that there is only one “group of scriptures” and not “bible.” The books of the bible actually contain few passages concerning the origin of these gods/aliens/demons.

Scriptures such as the 1st book of Enoch give much more detail into the origin of evil spirits, and interestingly enough, it also gives us the origin of the beings that we consider “aliens” and explains much of the phenomenon that accompanies their presence. Whether you believe in the authenticity or inspiration behind the 1st book of Enoch is, in itself, a completely different conversation.
